Brookings Rotarians Erich Olson and John Folkerts recently participated in a District 5610 trip to Romania, celebrating Rotary's 20-year partnership with Hope Haven International. Hope Haven distributes wheelchairs to children and adults worldwide, and recently opened a new facility in Barlad. Erich and John met with Rotarians from Barlad, Focsano, Bucharest and Izmail, Ukraine. There also was time for extensive touring of medieval villages, castles, citadels and the mountains of Transylvania.
