Evian Johnson, a Brookings High School junior, presented an excellent program to the Brookings Rotary Club today about her diagnosis of and adjustment to dyslexia. Dyslexia is a learning disability that does not indicates a person's intelligence, but rather requires different methods for the learning process. Evian, 16, was diagnosed at age 9. She currently reigns as Miss Hot Springs Teen, and has chosen dyslexia awareness as her platform. Thank you, Evian, for your willingness to share your story with us. We wish you much success!
