Brookings, SD - On February 26th, the aroma of freshly-baked garlic toast and spaghetti wafted through the Community Life Center of the Brookings United Methodist Church.  It was there that Brookings Rotarians donned aprons as they served 100+ guests at the Harvest Table, which provides a warm, no-cost meal every Monday night from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Approximately 30 Rotarians spent the afternoon and evening prepping the meal, serving, and cleaning up.  The effort was one of the Rotary club’s monthly community service opportunities for members.

The Brookings Rotary Club is made up of about 100 volunteer leaders dedicated to serving others on the local, district, and international level.  Rotary brings together a global network of men and women dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary connects 1.2 million members of more than 35,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas.
