Happy December! I believe our snow is here to stay until Spring. At my home, we have been running, but when do we ever slow down? Fall sports have concluded and winter sports are just getting started. This is the first year I am not officiating basketball in 28 years. It is bittersweet. This is something I started with my dad when I was in college. He retired refereeing basketball when he was 70 and I am not even 50 and I retired. I am not sure if we (or I should say Randy) will get our outside Christmas lights up this year at our home or not. I am just working on transitioning our home over to the holiday season. My fresh Christmas tree is up and has lights on it and I will get it decorated but it will take a few days to complete the overhaul. I grew up having a real tree and I hope I will continue this tradition. Do you put up a Christmas tree? Is it real or pre-lit? My family and I haven’t even gotten our family pictures done yet for our Christmas cards. ‘Tis the Season of not feeling bad, and just send out New Year’s Cards? My friend’s motto this year has been, “It is what it is”…….I then remind myself that I am healthy, my family and friends are healthy. Life is good and I am truly blessed.

This month we will only have three regular meetings. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve both fall on Tuesdays this year! Enjoy this special time of the year with those that make you feel happy. Reach out to those you haven’t touched base with in a while. It will make your day brighter! Rejoice and be glad in it!

Merry Christmas,
