Winners of the 2018 Rotary 4-Way Test Essay Contest

The Rotary Club of Brookings congratulates the winners of the 2018 4-Way Test Essay Contest.  The selected students wrote the top essay submitted by 6th grade students from Brookings Boys & Girls Club, and Mickelson Middle School about ‘How I Can Apply the 4-Way Test to My Life’ in relationship to one or more of the values of truth, fairness, goodwill, friendship and benefitting others.
 
Parents and school officials were invited to attend while the students shared their essays at the Brookings Rotary Luncheon.  The 1st place finisher had his essay submitted to the district level for a chance of a cash prize.  The winning essays were written by:  1st Place-Nithin Perumal who represented Mickelson Middle School; 2nd Place-Rowan Abdel-Kareem who represented the Brookings Boys and Girls Club; also receiving 2nd Place-Aralynn Hendrickson who also represented Mickelson Middle School.
